Advanced Technology in Cordless Phones

A Cordless phone is a portable phone with a wireless handset that operates or communicates with the help of base station via radio waves connected to a fixed phone line. The range of the base station is usually limited and is attached to the telephone network on the subscriber premises in the same manner as corded phone is attached. The main difference between cordles phones and mobile phones is that the base station of the cordless phone is on the subscriber premises, where as, in the case of mobile phone , the base stations are maintained by commercial mobile network operator and the services are subscribed to the mobile users. Cordless telephone needs electricity for powering the base station and a cordless handset is powered by a rechargeable battery. This battery can be charged when the handset is in its cradle. Generally, cordless telephone has one base station, but additional 3 to 4 base stations can be attached for allowing a multiple voice paths that enables 3-way conference calling possible.

Cordless telephone gives freedom to walk around and talk. The main features of cordless telephone include call waiting, speaker phone, redial function, LCD, ringer volume control, conference calling, flash button, headset locator, intercom, digital answering and caller id. There are three types of cordless phones:

•Digital spread spectrum: Spread spectrum technology involves frequency hopping which switches rapidly from one frequency to the next instead of transmitting on one frequency. The spread spectrum technology combined with digital technology makes the communication spy-proof and noise-resistant. In day-to-day life, this technology is seen in cordless telephones and wireless local area networks (WLAN). The main features of this technology are long range power, good sound quality and better security. Due to high transmitter power of around 1 watt, this technology is 7 to 8 times better than the earlier versions. The signal sending using this technology uniformly spread over a wide range of frequencies for transmission and avoids interference and noise from other signals. It allows better spy-proof communication due to digital transmissions and constantly changing frequency channels in use.

•Digital: Most of the advanced digital cordless phone have a good range of about 300 meters outdoors and 50 meters indoor. The phones can be speed dialed by assigning all the commonly used telephone numbers to a button on the phone. The phonebook feature allows to store at least 10 to 255 different telephone numbers and different names can be assigned to them for easy retrieval. Advanced functions like SIM card reader and SMS messaging are found in the advanced cordless telephones. Some cordles phones are VoIP enabled and can work over the internet or with a phone line.

•Analog: Analog technology is a process in which an audio or video signal can be translated into electronic pulses. They are economical in price as compared to the other two, that is, digital spread spectrum and digital cordless phones. The sound quality is also better in analog cordless telephones. Analog phone lines support standard phones, fax machines and modems.

Mobile phone reviews for technological updates

How often do you read the reviews of the cables along with the main audio-video systems? You are definitely more keen on knowing the features of the main devices rather than spending time reading about the TV Cables. That is a crucial miss because the lack of knowledge on the things which drive the performance of the devices is bound to affect the performance of the devices which are being sought by the people.

The modern day HD TVs have multiple functionalities. These functionalities can be used by integrating these with the other devices using the TV cables which support the HD transmission. With increasing use of this format and the emergence of common consensus among the producers, there has been a movement towards the standardization of these cables. These cables, called the HDMI cables drive the best performance for the HD TVs. The modern TV Cables are such that only a single one can run through the different devices without creating a mesh of different wires and losing the efficiencies of transmission.

The technology is evolving fast, and in fact the trend is going towards the wireless technologies. So, the wireless internet connectivity of the mobile phones and a number of other device-to-device wireless operations have been made possible due to the emergence of the Bluetooth technology. The logic seems to have been taken from our good old Cordless Phone which was earlier used to make and receive the telephonic calls without any wires. This had the constraint of working within a certain distance from the base station. The Bluetooth has also facilitated the hands free mobile communication. Now, you can even have the accessories like the headphones to be wireless for listening to the music. Less or no wires make the space vacant from the unnecessary clutter. It can also make the surroundings more improved aesthetically.

People looking to buy the modern telephonic or electronic consumer products shall read into the reviews of the same. The Mobile Phone Reviews can be read from the different magazines, seen on TV or be watched and read on the internet resources. The reading of reviews or watching their live demos can actually help you form an opinion about the product. If the objective is only to check the features, then the same can best detailed on the official website of the company. However, if the objective is to make the comparisons between the two or more similar products of different companies, it is better to make use of the comparative mobile phone reviews of the products or the visit the sites which show the different features of the two products side by side. Reviews are mostly concentrated on the performance aspect of the different features of the products. These do not dispute the facts. These only show what is real. However, it is better to make use of the independent sources for reading or watching the reviews so that you can avoid being too critical or favouring reviews.
